Looking for reasons to visit Missoula? There are plenty. This small, hip city offers great things to do, see, eat, and drink everyday of the week. The real question is: Can you find a reason NOT to visit Missoula? If you don’t like cold winters, maybe that’s a reason, but the easy solution is to schedule a summer trip. Experience one summer in Montana, and you will want to come back again, and again, and again.

Missoula summers are amazing, but don’t blow off winter in Missoula. We stumbled upon this awesome blog post “Why You Should Visit Missoula”, by travel writer Mimi McFadden. Mimi visited Missoula just last month, and she wrote a wonderful piece we just had to share.

Mimi beautifully highlights six must-dos in Missoula that involve the arts, the University of Montana campus, the craft brews, and more. Missoula won over her heart thanks to its friendly faces, charm, and communal feel. Mimi was also impressed by the number of winter activities available in Missoula, and she appreciated the fact that most of them were either free or inexpensive.

So keep in mind any time of year is worth the visit to Zootown. You’ll always receive a friendly welcome and an array of fun opportunities. Plus, the scenery is beautiful whether the ground is covered with snow or green grass. Mimi captured some excellent photos as well, so make sure to check those out on her post.
